State of my nation

It’s been so long since I’ve blogged that I have almost forgotten how. Since 2013 – my last missive – WordPress has changed, too. So much more control over one’s posts, ergo more scope for frittering with different font sizes, drop caps, etc. W00T!

I’ve moved; from Sussex to Wales, though I’m still not sure if migrating from a flat near the sea-front to a cottage in the middle of nowhere was a sensible decision. It seemed so at the time, but then hindsight is such a marvelous toy.

Here’s a song about it: ‘The Wilds of Wales‘ and an interesting fact: WordPress now seems to demand dosh to let you post audio or video. Since I’m presently brassic there is no neat and nifty embedded audio player for you to click on. Instead, the link takes you to a page on Bandcamp. It’s free to hear and download, so do your worst. In fact the whole album ‘48 Hour Album Volume 3‘ is worth a listen. It was a project run by The Bard of Worthing. 48 hours to write, record, and upload a song. Since I’ve never lived in Worthing (though it is in Sussex), maybe it was a bit cheeky to take part. But in the days of lock-down there’s not a lot else to do and he seemed happy.

Hey ho.

Love this! The Wilds of Wales is fantastic and hilarious, a triumph in 48 hours. Glad to see you blogging again. I hope you are enjoying Welsh Wales.

Diolch! I do like Wales, though learning the language is proving almost impossible, and I wish there were more like minded people around.
